On November 16-22, nobody fell victim to armed conflict in Northern Caucasus
During the week from November 16 to November 22, 2020, no information was received about any casualties and wounded people during the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.
Detentions
On November 22, it became known about the detention of the head of the Dagestani Kizlyar ROVD (District Interior Division). The detention was conducted by servicemen of the Chief Investigating Department of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF). The detainee is suspected of complicity in terrorism and organizing a murder.
Let us note here that this is the fifth week in a row with no reports about conflict victims. The latest incident to date took place on October 16 in the Nasyr-Kort District of Nazran, where a shootout broke out, and a VAZ-2106 car exploded. The man in the car, presumably, a militant, died. He was later identified as Yunus Vidzizhev, the owner of the chain of renting empty weapons, who is wanted in connection with the storage of combat weapons. He had claimed earlier that law enforcers were unlawfully pursuing him, robbed his store and tried to kill him, staging a special operation. Vidzizhev was sure that law enforcers had tried to kill him again.
