Karvachar residents express fears of desecrating relatives' graves

The townspeople leaving Karvachar are forced to dig up the remains of their relatives for fear that their graves may be desecrated after the city comes under Azerbaijan's control. Refugees burn down their houses and slaughter the livestock.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 17, Armenia announced its intention to apply to the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) about civilians' disappearances in the conflict zone.

Karvachar residents dig up their relatives' remains and take them for burial at their new residences, so as not to allow them to be desecrated, the "Sputnik Armenia" reports.

Apart from relatives' remains, residents of Nagorno-Karabakh also remove icons from temples. They also removed a bell from the Dadivank church. Residents of the Kelbadjar (Karvachar) District, which is to come under Azerbaijan's control, have burned down their houses and property, the "korrespondent.net" has reported.
