Number of killed residents of Nagorno-Karabakh rises to 46
The number of killed civilians has increased to 46, while the number of wounded – to 142, the Ombudsman of Nagorno-Karabakh reports. In the morning, the cities of Martuni and Shushi have been shelled with missiles, the Nagorno-Karabakh Service for Emergencies reports.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 31, the General Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan announced that since the beginning of the escalation of the Karabakh conflict, 91 people had been killed during shelling attacks on Azerbaijani cities, towns, and villages, while 400 others had been wounded. In Armenia, according to the local authorities, the death toll reached at least three, while at least four others were wounded.
Last night, the situation in the villages, towns, and cities of Nagorno-Karabakh was relatively calm, but in the morning, shelling attacks were resumed in the direction of the cities of Martuni and Shushi, as well as nearby villages, reports Unan Tadevosyan, the spokesman for the Nagorno-Karabakh Service for Emergencies. According to him, "Smerch" heavy multiple missile launchers were used in shelling attacks on the above mentioned territories.
According to the Ombudsman of Nagorno-Karabakh, on November 1, one civilian – a 53-year-old man – was killed in the village of Khnushinak in the Martuni District during a shelling attack.
