Three persons fell victim to a missile attack in Nagorno-Karabakh

Two civilians have been injured and another has been killed in a missile attack on the village of Avetaranots, the Ombudsman of Nagorno-Karabakh reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, at 7:00 a.m. Moscow time (6:00 a.m. local time), a new agreement on the humanitarian truce in the Karabakh conflict zone has entered into force. The parties to the conflict have promised to adhere to the ceasefire agreement this time. However, within the first hours, they have accused each other of violating the ceasefire.

"One civilian, Gevorg Ambartsumyan, has been killed, while two others – Genrikh Adamyan and Andrei Ambartsumyan – were injured," reported the press service of the Ombudsman's Office as quoted by the "Sputnik Armenia".

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Nagorno-Karabakh has reported about an attempt by the Azerbaijani armed forces to attack in the south-eastern direction in Nagorno-Karabakh. The Defence Army of Nagorno-Karabakh is conducting defensive battles, the press service for the MoD of Nagorno-Karabakh reports today.

Today, on her Facebook page, Shushan Stepanyan, the press secretary for the Ministry of Defence of Armenia, has written that the Azerbaijani armed forces used a "Smerch" heavy multiple missile launcher to shell the village of Sardarashen (the Azerbaijani name is Sardarkend, – note of the "Caucasian Knot") in the Martuni District of Nagorno-Karabakh. At about 1:50 p.m. local time, a missile was launched in the direction of the village of Sardarashen, the Nagorno-Karabakh Service for Emergencies reports, buts notes it has not received yet any information concerning casualties and damage caused.
