Azerbaijan claims capture of three Karabakh villages
The Azerbaijani Army has taken control over three villages of the Khodjavend District, President Ilham Aliev has stated. The total number of such dwelling settlements has reached 53.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that by October 15, Azerbaijan had claimed the establishment of control over 50 settlements, including two strategically important regional centres – the cities of Djebrail (the Armenian name is Djrakan) and Gadrut. The Armenian side has refuted the loss of these cities.

In the evening on October 16, Ilham Aliev wrote in his Twitter page that the Azerbaijani Army "liberated from occupation" three villages of the Khojavend District: Khyrmandjyg, Agbulag (the Armenian name is Mysmna) and Akhulla.
The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has confirmed this statement by posting a video showing residential and administrative buildings, agricultural machinery and a memorial with Christian and Karabakh state symbols. The post is not accompanied by an explanation in which particular settlement of the Khojavend District the footage was filmed.
