Armenian MoD reports on downed drones

In the area of the Armenian city of Vardenis, militaries have shot down seven unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs, or drones) belonging to the Azerbaijani Army, the Armenian Ministry of Defence has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that since September 27, fighting has been going on in the Karabakh conflict zone; dwelling settlements of Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan have been shelled. At night on Thursday, Stepanakert, the Karabakh capital, came under missile fire delivered by the Azerbaijani side, Armenian authorities have claimed.

On October 8, the fighting resumed in the southern and northern directions of the frontline, the Nagorno-Karabakh's MoD has informed. Three journalists were wounded during the shelling of the cathedral in Shushi. Residents of Azerbaijan said that artillery shelling of the country's frontline settlements had intensified. Village houses in the border regions of Azerbaijan have been badly damaged, but local residents do not want to leave their villages.
