Detainee in Ingushetia confess to involvement of preparing terror act
The "Ingushetia" TV Company has aired a story about the confession of the man detained by law enforcers to preparing an explosion at a school assembly on September 1. The name of the detainee was not named, but his words coincided with the testimony given by Bagaudin Evloev, a resident of Ingushetia, who claimed being tortured.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that since the evening of August 6, a counter-terrorist operation (CTO) was conducted in Nazran and the village of Sagopshi of the Malgobek District of Ingushetia. A law enforcement source told about two killed militants and one detained person, namely, the above Bagaudin Evloev. On September 3, the latter said that law enforcers beat up and tortured him with electric current, demanding to confess to the preparation of school capture.
On September 4, the state "Ingushetia" TV Channel showed on air a man who confesses to preparing a terror act at a school by September 1. The man with dark hair was sitting with his back to the camera; the image of his head was blurred. The man had a young voice; he spoke Russian with a slight accent.
According to the authors of the report, the "exclusive footage" of the detainee's confession was provided by the FSB. The presenter explained that the detainee had confessed that the militants' "sleeping unit" was preparing a major terror act in Ingushetia by September 1; and he accidentally heard about it when he was providing some everyday help to members of the armed underground, in particular, he bought food for them.
