Public rebukes of Chechens for their behaviour in Moscow ironically commented by social network users

Rebukes and coercion to public repentances practiced by Chechen authorities in relation to republic's natives returned from Moscow are inefficient and look like an attempt to earn political points, social network users assert.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Chechen authorities forced about a hundred natives of the republic to return from Moscow; law enforcers treat them as drug addicts and delinquents. The young people have publicly repented.

Social network users have reacted ironically to the public rebukes of young people by Chechen authorities. "Probably, for the first time in the entire epidemic, they [young people] put on medical masks with pleasure," the user iusuf396 has written.

Some social media users have treated the young people's public repentances to officials as a "show".

"So, you've brought them and unloaded them in Chechnya like some harvested crop, and then what? Will you make sure that they get jobs? Or that they receive unemployment benefits? ... Or will you appoint free compulsory treatment for those who take drugs?" the user laysan1313 wrote on the Instagram.

"And where are proofs that they are drug addicts and robbers? It's another staged show for the sake of political points," the user Akhmatnesila has written.
