Azerbaijan and Armenia claim shelling attacks and downed drones

The positions of Azerbaijani troops on the Armenian border and in the Karabakh conflict zone were shelled from machine guns, mortars and cannons, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has reported. Its Armenian counterpart reported two downed Azerbaijani drones.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 12 the situation on the border of the Tovuz District of Azerbaijan and the Tavush Region of Armenia got aggravated. The parties exchange accusations of shelling on the daily basis, including of the border dwelling settlements.

According to official data, by July 14, 25 people fell victim to shelling: one civilian and 11 military servicemen perished in Azerbaijan, and four militaries were wounded. The Armenian MoD reported four killed and five wounded soldiers.

The village of Zamanly of the Gadabay District came under fire; shelling was also delivered from the territories controlled by the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), the press service of the Azerbaijani MoD has reported.

This MoD has also refuted the information that Azerbaijani militaries had used the "Grad" (Hail) multiple launch missile system on the Armenian border, the APA has reported.

In its turn, the Armenian MoD has reported two Azerbaijani military drones shot down during the past night, the "Sputnik-Armenia" reports.
