Special and counterterrorist operations

Detentions

On March 16, it became known that Kurban-Magomed Medjidov, a visitor to the "Tangim" Mosque, whom law enforcers took away with them to some unknown destination on March 12, was found in the city of Yessentuki. He was arrested for two months on the charge of financing terrorists. Gusein Magomedaliev, a resident of Dagestan, and Arthur Mendokhov, a resident of Kabardino-Balkaria, were also detained. According to investigators, the suspects sent more than 300,000 roubles to members of the international terrorist organizations "Islamic State" (IS, a terrorist organization, banned in Russia by the court, – note of the "Caucasian Knot") and "Jebhat al-Nusra", banned in the Russian Federation.

Kidnappings
