Armenian soldier wounded on border with Azerbaijan

A soldier got a slight wound as a result of an act of sabotage in the north-eastern direction of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Armenia reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 5, Azerbaijan reported the death of its soldier as a result of a shelling attack from the Armenian side. Later, Armenia accused Azerbaijan of machine-gun shelling attacks. Today, the Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijani registered 27 violations of the ceasefire by the Armenian side within 24 hours.

Today, in its turn, Armenia has claimed an attempt of a sabotage act from the Azerbaijani side and injure of an Armenian soldier.

"This morning, an attempt of a sabotage act has been committed in the north-east direction of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has been informed by the press service of the Armenian MoD.

According to the spokesperson of the Armenian MoD, during the act of sabotage, one Armenian soldier was slightly wounded.

The Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan has not posted on its official website any comments on the statement voiced by the Armenian MoD.
