Mother of Dagestani man disappeared in Chechnya appeals to Ramzan Kadyrov
In Derbent, a mother of Nillan Aliev held a picket with an appeal to Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov. Her son stopped contacting his relatives and friends after a trip to Grozny with his two acquaintances. Till present, the search for the disappeared men has not brought any results, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan reports.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 9, 30-year-old Nillan Aliev, 35-year-old Seidaidin Mustafaev, and 62-year-old Khakim Askerov left Derbent to have a rest in Grozny. On the other day, they stopped contacting their relatives and friends. The Dagestani police reported that all three disappeared men were wanted as missing. Appeals to the law enforcement bodies did not succeed, relatives of the disappeared men reported.
With reference to the relatives of the disappeared men, the "Baza" Telegram channel reported that one of the Derbent residents who did not return from Grozny criticized the authorities of Chechnya, and shortly before their disappearance, the Derbent residents posted a video on social networks with them smoking in front of the "Heart of Chechnya" Mosque. Instagram users suggested that the posted video became the reason for the disappearance of the Derbent men.
This is the second picket held by Nargiz Kazimova in Derbent. The woman went to her first picket on February 23. After the picket, according to the woman, no reaction from the Chechen authorities followed.
On February 20, Nargiz Kazimova said that, according to her information, the disappeared residents of Derbent were being kept at a law enforcement body of Chechnya. However, the information was not confirmed by the Dagestani law enforcement bodies.
