Two soldiers fell victim to shootouts on border between Azerbaijan and Armenia

Ibragim Veliev, a border guard soldier, was killed in a shootout with Armenian soldiers, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan reported. On February 23, an Armenian soldier was slightly wounded during a shelling attack from the Azerbaijani side, the Ministry of Defence of Armenia reported.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Azerbaijani MoD regularly reports shelling attacks on its positions on the border with Armenia and in the Karabakh conflict zone. So, today, the Azerbaijani MoD reported about 24 cases of ceasefire violations.

This morning, a shootout has occurred after an "attempted sabotage" of the Armenian troops on the border of the Noyemberyan District of Armenia and the Gazakh District of Azerbaijan, the press service of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan reports.

On February 23, as a result of a shelling attack from the Azerbaijani side at combat positions in the Tavush District, a soldier of the Armenian armed forces was wounded, reported Artsrun Ovannisyan, the press secretary for the Ministry of Defence of Armenia. He has also noted there is no threat to the life of the Armenian soldier.
