Ingush activist's defence achieves inquiry into law enforcers' actions

After watching the video from the rally in Magas, the court has granted the motion that demanded to initiate a criminal case against an employee of the "Rosgvardia" (Russian National Guard), who threw a chair at the protesters.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Rezvan Ozdoev, who had been fined earlier by 10,000 roubles under an administrative case for participating in a rally on March 27, 2019, was detained on May 13 of the same year under the criminal case of using violence against a "Rosgvardia" employee. At the court hearing on January 16, 2020, Rezvan Ozdoev refused to plead guilty to assaulting a law enforcer during a rally.

On February 7, a session was held in the courtroom of the Zheleznovodsk City Court on the case of the Ingush activist, Rezvan Ozdoev.

The judge suggested watching the video provided by the republic's branch of the FSB (Russian Federal Security Bureau).

The advocate has focused on the fact of a law enforcer throwing a chair at the protesters. "This was a clear provocation. I demand to initiate a criminal case against this employee," said Kyazim Atabiev. The judge has granted the motion.
