Prosecutor's Office recognizes three June protesters in Tbilisi as victims

Maya Gomuri, Omar Sekhniashvili and Mirza Liparteliani, who received injuries during the dispersal of a rally near the Georgian Parliament in June this year, have been declared victims.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Ministry of Public Health had announced hospitalization of 240 people. On October 29, a court in Tbilisi refused to grant the victim status to 16 rally participants who were injured. Among them, according to the "Association of Young Lawyers", were eight journalists. One of the participants in the rally, Maya Gomuri, lost her eye after being hit by a rubber bullet.

The representative of the NGO "Association of Young Lawyers" has noted that others have joined the 16 activists, whose interests are represented by the NGO.

The interests of other 20 people, including four journalists, Beslan Kmuzov, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent among them, are represented by lawyers from the NGO "Human Rights Centre".

In total, according to the "Human Rights Centre", seven participants or eyewitnesses of the rally on June 20-21, as well as 64 policemen, were recognized as victims.
