Blogger Abdurakhmanov's accusation fails to refute Chechen trace in Khangoshvili's case

Chingiz Akhmadov, an employee of the "Grozny" TV Channel, has repeatedly accused Tumso Abdurakhmanov of lying in stating possible accomplices in the murder of Zelimkhan Khangoshvili in Berlin. Journalists were offered a false hypothesis about the non-Chechen origin of the Khangoshvili's killer.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Akhmadov had quoted the blogger's words about people from Chechnya, who might have been involved in Khangoshvili's assassination. According to Tumso Abdurakhmanov, Chechen authorities have launched a new campaign to discredit him.

"He had accused the Chechens living abroad of being involved in the murder – now, he claims that he hadn't blamed them," Akhmadov said in his new video posted on the Instagram.

After the murder, reporters concluded that Khangoshvili's murder was organized with the participation of Russian special services. The man arrested in Berlin has a passport in the name of 49-year-old Vadim Sokolov, a native of Irkutsk. The authors of the inquiry conducted by the edition named "The Insider", the "Bellingcat" journalist group, and the German "Der Spiegel" did not exclude that "Sokolov" was of Chechen origin, according to sources, but after the publication of "Bellingcat", a version appeared indicating Sokolov's non-Chechen origin.
