"Beanpole" by Kantemir Balagov included in Oscar longlist
The film "Beanpole" directed by Kantemir Balagov from Kabardino-Balkaria became one of 93 Oscar nominations in the Best International Feature Film category.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that this year, according to the decision of the Russian Oscar Committee, the film "Beanpole" was nominated by Russia for the prestigious US Film Academy Award (Oscar).
On October 7, the Oscar organizers unveiled a longlist of 93 applicants for the Oscar in the Best International Feature Film category, which until this year was called the Best Foreign Language Film category. Among the applicants is the film "Beanpole" directed by Kantemir Balagov, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
