NKR counts hundred shelling attacks by Azerbaijan within week

Over the past seven days, the Azerbaijani side violated the ceasefire regime on the troops contact line by firing about 800 shots, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 22-28, the NKR counted about 150 ceasefire violations committed by Azerbaijani military servicemen.

"In the period from September 29 to October 5, 2019, the Azerbaijani side violated the ceasefire regime more than 100 times on the contact line of the armed forces of the Artsakh Republic (the NKR) and Azerbaijan, by firing about 800 rounds from various-calibre small arms in the direction of Armenian position," says the message posted on the website of the NKR's MoD and translated by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

At the same time, the MoD notes that "the units of the NKR's Defence Army continue maintaining full control over the frontline."
