On September 9-15, one person was killed in the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus
During the week from September 9 to September 15, 2019, one person perished in the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus; there was no information about the wounded ones. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from open sources.
The casualty was a resident of Chechnya, allegedly linked to the armed underground.
Attack on law enforcers
On September 9, in the Leninsky District of Grozny, GIBDD (traffic police) inspectors stopped a car driven by Usman Aziev, born in 2001, a native of the Nadterechny District of Chechnya. According to law enforcers, the driver fired shot at the policemen; who opened return fire, and Aziev died. He had been wanted for hijacking a car and stealing firearms from his relative-law enforcer the day before.
Special and counterterrorist operations
On September 13, several dozens law enforcers conducted a raid near the "Tangim" mosque in Makhachkala. They stopped cars and checked drivers' documents; nobody was detained.
Detentions
On September 9, agents of the Dagestani branch of the Russian Federal Security Bureau (FSB) detained three alleged members of a terrorist grouping set up for financing the "Islamic State" (IS), a terrorist organization banned in Russia by the court. According to law enforcers, the suspects raised money and transferred it to bank cards of IS members.
