During the week of August 26-September 1, 2019, no one fell victim to the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.
On August 29, a hiding with two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) of high power was discovered near the villages of Chernaya Rechka and Altud in the Urvan District of Kabardino-Balkaria, the FSB press service reported. The IEDs were defused, and after that a man who manufactured those IEDs was detained. The detainee was a local resident, who had earlier criminal records for terrorism. According to the law enforcement bodies, the man confessed that he was plotting terror acts against the law enforcement bodies and government agencies.
Another Friday raid near "Tangim" Mosque in Dagestan
On August 30, law enforcers conducted a raid in the area of the "Tangim" Mosque in Makhachkala. According to journalist Idris Yusupov, law enforcers wrote down car state registration numbers and made photos of driver's licences of the people who left the mosque after prayer.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan reported that policemen were securing an order.
