Dagestani MIA releases video of Kemran Isaev's confession
Kemran Isaev, a resident of Dagestan, suspected of possessing weapons and ammunition, said in the video posted today that he had planned to confess and surrender his pistol to the police.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 18, Kemran Isaev, a 24-year-old resident of the village of Terechnoye, disappeared in the Khasavyurt District of Dagestan. His relatives and fellow villagers went to a protest action, claiming that the man was kidnapped. Later, it turned out that Isaev was detained on suspicion of illegal firearms possession. According to his advocate, Isaev had signed a protocol drawn up without his participation, which states that "the prohibited articles found on him belonged to his relative, and he just kept them."
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), during his personal search, they found on Isaev a signal pistol, a grenade, "a homemade object intended for shooting", and eight rounds.
Today, the MIA's page on the Instagram posted a short video, in which Kemran Isaev answers questions of some unseen person.
When asked if someone had handed him something for storage, Isaev said, in particular, that "he had forgotten the pistol in the attic." The sound in the video is interrupted, and it is unclear from the record who the detainee is talking about, but to the clarifying question: 'who left for Syria?' – Kemran Isaev answered in the affirmative.
The law enforcer's interest in Isaev may be caused by the fact that his wife's brother died at war in Syria, a friend of Kemran Isaev suggested on August 19.
