On August 18, Kemran Isaev, a resident of the village of Terechnoye, disappeared in the Khasavyurt District of Dagestan. Today, his relatives and fellow villagers rallied in Khasavyurt, claiming that the man was kidnapped. Isaev was detained on suspicion of illegal firearm possession, the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has reported.
According to one of his friends, Kemran Isaev was kidnapped on August 18 in the afternoon on his way from the village of Pervomaiskoe to Terechnoye.
"Kemran drove from Terechnoye to Pervomaiskoe to take his friend and his mother there. On his way back, at about 2:30 p.m. between the villages of Sovietskoye and Terechnoye, a traffic police unit stopped his car, but they didn't even have time to check his documents, when several men who drove up in an UAZ Patriot van and a Priora car forced him into one of their vehicles; and they drove to some unknown place," a man told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
According to his story, the moment of Isaev's kidnapping was watched by his fellow villagers, who were driving by. "They also reported about what happened. And today, police reports indicate that Kemran was detained on August 18 at about eight o'clock in the evening in Khasavyurt. Allegedly, he was detained for illegal firearm possession," said Kemran Isaev's a friend.
Today, Kemran's relatives, fellow villagers and deputies of the village assembly, outraged by his kidnapping, gathered at the buildings of the ROVD (District Interior Division) and the Khasavyurt District Prosecutor's Office. They expressed their indignation at law enforcers' actions and demanded to release Isaev.
