Mother of the girl beaten up in Ingushetia demands to return her

The biological mother of the girl from Ingushetia, who has suffered from beatings, hired an advocate aiming to return the child to her family. Guardianship authorities are seeking to deprive the girl's father and mother of their parental rights, the republic's Children Ombudsperson has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 4, the girl was hospitalized in Ingushetia in grave condition. It turned out that she lived under guardianship in the family of her aunt, who after the girl's hospitalization was charged with intentionally causing grievous and life-threatening harm, the Department for Ingushetia of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) has informed.

On August 7, doctors amputated the girl's forearm and right hand and decided to install prosthesis after the child's recovery.

The girl's mother appeared and stated that she wants to take the child back to herself, the RIA "Novosti" has reported today with reference to Zarema Chakhkieva, the Children Ombudsperson in Ingushetia.

Ms Chakhkieva has informed that the girl's mother had hired an advocate to help her in return the child. "I'll do everything possible to prevent this from happening ... She (the girl) has just begun to move away from this horror," the "Magas Times" quotes the Children Ombudsperson in its Instagram page. According to Zarema Chakhkieva, the guardianship authorities had filed a lawsuit demanding to deprive the girl's father and mother of their parental rights.
