In Western Georgia, hunger-strikers ignore recommendations of doctors
Doctors advised the two participants of the hunger strike in front of the Bidzina Ivanishvili's residence to stop their protest action, but the activists did not listen to the medical officers.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the activists are holding the hunger strike in front of the Bidzina Ivanishvili's residence in Shekvetili with the demand for the resignation of Georgian Interior Minister Giorgi Gakhariya.
Mindiya Adadze and Marad Shavadze, who were holding their hunger strike in front of the Bidzina Ivanishvili's residence, were taken to a hospital in Poti, and on July 14, after the examination, the doctors discharged them. The hunger-strikers did not accept food for 19 days, and the doctors advised them to stop their hunger strike, the "News-Georgia" reports.
Immediately after being discharged from the hospital, the activists returned to Shekvetili and continued their protest action. "The guys are still on hunger strike, but it is very difficult for them to continue their protest," said Bondo Tedoradze, the chairman of the Kobuleti branch of the "United National Movement" (UNM) Party, as quoted by the "Echo of the Caucasus".
