Law enforcers and Tumso tell about detentions of Barzaev's acquaintances
Several people were detained in Chechnya because they communicated with Akhmed Barzaev, who was killed during the attack on law enforcers in Grozny. Tumso Abdurakhmanov named the detainees with reference to his own sources.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that two policemen were wounded in the attack on June 23 at the residence of the head of Chechnya and the "Grozny City" complex. According to the Chechen Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), Akhmed Barzaev, a resident of Chechnya, born in 1997, attacked the policemen. The "Islamic State" (IS), recognized as a terrorist organization and banned by the court in Russia, has declared the assassinated Barzaev to be its militant.
The Chechen police are investigating the case under Article 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (encroachment on the life of law enforcers) in connection with the above attack in Grozny.
"Several persons from among the acquaintances [of the casualty] were detained, who may have any significant information or have anything to do with this attack," a source from the republic's law enforcement bodies told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
The detentions of the above young people in Chechnya were also reported by the Chechen blogger, Tumso Abdurakhmanov. According to his version, Ayub and Abubakar Inurkaev were detained in the village of Zaman-Yurt; they were taken to one of law enforcement bodies in Grozny because of their acquaintance with Barzaev.
Abdurakhmanov treats the detained young people as kidnapped. "These two are not the only kidnapped persons after the incident in Grozny. I receive messages about other kidnappings related to this case," the blogger wrote in his Telegram channel.
