Nagorno-Karabakh accuses Azerbaijan of 300 shelling attacks per week
In the period from April 21 to April 27, the Azerbaijani armed forces fired more than 3700 shots at the positions of the Defence Army, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for Nagorno-Karabakh reported. The MoD called for an end to the "artificially aggravated" situation in the conflict zone.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the period from April 14 to 20, Nagorno-Karabakh registered 250 shelling attacks in the conflict zone.
From April 21 to April 27, the Azerbaijani side about 300 times violated the ceasefire regime and fired more than 3700 shots, mainly from various types of small arms, the press service of the Nagorno-Karabakh MoD reported on April 26.
Earlier, on April 25, the Nagorno-Karabakh MoD called on the Azerbaijani side not to aggravate the situation. "Some Azerbaijani mass media reported that at 5:30 p.m. Moscow time on April 24 and at 3:20 p.m. Moscow time on April 25, the fire was allegedly opened in the direction of the border village of Chiragli, located in the eastern part of the conflict zone. That is nothing more than another misinformation," reported the Nagorno-Karabakh MoD on its website.
"The commanders of the armed forces of Nagorno-Karabakh call on the Azerbaijani side to refrain from the unpromising tactics of artificial aggravation of the situation on the contact line and continue to maintain constructive behaviour," noted the press service of the Nagorno-Karabakh MoD.
