"Golos" counts overstated voter turnout at election in SFD and NCFD

Analysis of video records from polling stations in the Krasnodar Territory, Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachay-Cherkessia has shown that the voter turnout in 2018 was overstated by 23-52%, the report of the movement for voters' rights named "Golos" (Vote) states.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 18, 2018, the presidential election was held in Russia. According to the election totals, Kabardino-Balkaria showed the largest number of votes casted for Putin in Russia – 93.38%. Chechnya lost its traditional leadership in the support of Putin and was the runner-up with 91.44% of the votes. The voter turnout in Kabardino-Balkaria, according to official data, was 91.8%, in Chechnya – 91.54%, in Dagestan – 87.48%, and in Karachay-Cherkessia – 87.41%.

The "Golos" has identified five Russian regions, where, according to the movement, most wide-scale election falsifications were observed. All of them, except for the leader of the five, the Kemerovo Region, were registered in the Southern and North-Caucasus Federal Districts (SFD and NCFD), namely, in Dagestan, Krasnodar Territory, Karachay-Cherkessia and Kabardino-Balkaria. At those 94 polling stations, the records from which volunteers managed to study, the voter turnout proved to be overstated by 57,485 voters.

The analysis of videos from the polling stations complements the data of the studies of electoral statistics confirming falsifications of the outcomes of the presidential election, the report says.
