Russian gunners hold exercises in Armenia

Servicemen of artillery units of the Russian military base in Armenia are mastering their skills of mortar shooting in mountainous terrain. 1

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 17, the troops of the Southern Military District "launched the stage of battalion tactical exercises." They are held the regions of the Southern and North-Caucasian Federal Districts (SFD and NCFD), as well as in Armenia, Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

The artillery units of the above Russian military base have started their training in liquidation of firing points of the conventional enemy located in the mountains, the "Interfax" reports with reference to the press service of the Southern Military District.

Unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) are involved in the exercises. In total, more than 500 militaries and about 50 units of armament and military equipment take part in the exercises.
