18 passengers suffer at emergency landing in Sochi

Tonight, a Boeing-738 caught fire when landing at Sochi Airport, six out of eighteen victims were hospitalized.

Today, at 2:25 a.m. Moscow time, the plane of the "UTair" Airline, flying to Sochi from Moscow, rolled out of the runway. At the same time, its both wings caught fire.

"Medical help was rendered to 18 victims, including three children; six people were hospitalized, including two children. There are no casualties. All the necessary medical help is rendered to those injured; psychologists work with the victims and their relatives," the Russia's Ministry of Public Health wrote on its website.

The video "Passenger Boeing caught fire after landing in Sochi", posted on the YouTube today, shows the aircraft burning at the runway.

"The aircraft ran into the riverbed; as a result, the chassis and wing racks collapsed; and the left engine caught fire," the "Interfax" quotes the message of the "UTair" Airline, which specifies that there were 164 passengers and six crew members on board.
