Vladimir Vasiliev promises to continue personnel cleanups in Dagestan

Today, Vladimir Vasiliev, the acting leader of Dagestan, has announced that an anti-corruption campaign among officials in the republic will be continued.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 10, during a meeting with Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin, Dagestani leader Vladimir Vasiliev reported that more than 200 officials in the republic were brought to responsibility for violating the anti-corruption laws.

At a press conference held after a meeting with Alexander Matovnikov, Plenipotentiary Envoy in the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD), Vladimir Vasiliev, the acting leader of Dagestan, has expressed his gratitude to the law enforcement, control, supervisory, and fiscal bodies.

"You see that there is a 'cleanup' in the highest echelons of power. And it is not over. We will be able to talk about its finish only when the negative processes of corruption and misrepresentation are overcome. However, the goal is not only to bring guilty persons to responsibility. The goal is to change the situation," declared Vladimir Vasiliev. He has emphasized that the best representatives of Russia came to Dagestan and "the best practices will be realized and implemented today."

Let us remind you that earlier, Vladimir Vasiliev has called the fight against corruption the main priority of the Dagestani authorities after the elimination of the armed underground.
