In Armenia, blocked roads create difficulties for tourists

Difficulties with the passage to the "Zvartnots" airport due to the blockage of roads slightly depressed trips to Armenia, Russian tourists say. Meanwhile, many of them note they understand the situation and support protesters.

On May 2, because of the protests in Armenia, railroad transportation was stopped, and in Yerevan, the public traffic was paralyzed. On May 2, protest leader Nikol Pashinyan announced the suspension of the protest action.

On May 2, supporters of the opposition blocked the traffic on the road to the airport near Yerevan, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

Andrei, a resident of Moscow, called blocking of the streets "not very friendly story." "We had to walk about five kilometres from the city centre, and then we took three cars," the man said.

His companion Anastasia believes that the activists could meet their request and let them pass through the cordon.

Another couple from Moscow mentioned the help of local residents, many of whom did not take money when taking the tourists from one cordon to another.

"We do not feel indignation. We treat the situation with understanding," tourist Andrei said.

His wife Inna has also added that they are "on the side of the Armenian brothers and hope that they will succeed."

If the people rebel, then there is a reason for that, believes Olga, a tourist from Moscow.
