Yerevan students go on strike

This morning, participants of the rallies against the election of Serzh Sargsyan to the post of the Prime Minister of Armenia have resumed their march through the streets of Yerevan. One of the protest actions was started near the Yerevan State University.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at the rally held in Yerevan on April 22, the opponents of Serzh Sargsyan announced the continuation of the actions of disobedience, demanded the resignation of the Prime Minister and the release of protesters' leader Nikol Pashinyan. Besides, a strike of students was also announced at the rally.

Today, several groups of protesters hold rallies in Yerevan, and one of the protest actions was started near the Yerevan State University, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

Students are marching through the streets of the capital. They encourage university teachers and professors to join their rally. According to the demonstrators, their protest actions will be exclusively of peaceful nature.
