Tatiana Moskalkova succeeds in contacting disappeared Chechen woman
On January 18, Tatiana Moskalkova reported she talked via phone to a wife of a resident of Chechnya, whose name appeared on the list of the people executed at night on January 26, 2017. According to the Russia's Ombudsperson, the Chechen woman informed her that she was released after being detained by policemen.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that according to the newspaper "Novaya Gazeta", Aminat Avturkhanova, who was looking for her husband, included on the "execution list", was detained on January 8. After that, relatives could not get in touch with her, and the Russia's Ombudsperson sent a letter to the Chechen Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) with a request to report about the detainee's fate.
In response to the request about Aminat Avturkhanova, Ruslan Alkhanov, Chechen Minister of Internal Affairs, answered that she was at home, reported Russia's Ombudsperson Tatiana Moskalkova. According to her, she was called from the Nadterechny police department and the receiver was handed over to Aminat Avturkhanova. "She told me that she was really detained, but then they examined the situation and let her go." Her voice sounded smooth. Meanwhile, it does not mean anything at all," noted Tatiana Moskalkova as quoted by the "Novaya Gazeta".
Tatiana Moskalkova has reported that she requested Chechen Ombudsman Nurdi Nukhazhiev to visit Aminat Avturkhanova and to ascertain her return home, the "Interfax" reports.
