Soldier dies in Nagorno-Karabakh

Investigators are studying the circumstances of the death of the serviceman Arutyun Khachatryan, who was mortally wounded this night, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Nagorno-Karabakh has reported.

The incident occurred tonight at a defence post of one of the units of the Defence Army in the Karabakh conflict zone, the MoD's press service has stated.

"Under unclear circumstances, a soldier Arutyun Khachatryan (born in 1998), was fatally wounded; investigators are studying the circumstances of the incident," says the statement posted on the website of the MoD of Nagorno-Karabakh.

Today, the OSCE monitoring mission has fixed no ceasefire violations in the conflict zone. In the morning, Meanwhile, Azerbaijan stated 124 bombardments of its positions within the past 24 hours. The MoD of Nagorno-Karabakh reported on January 13 that in the period from January 7 to January 13, the Azerbaijani militaries shelled the positions of the Defence Army for 200 times.
