Georgian communists install Stalin's bust in Gori

Participants in the rally in Gori have marked the 138th birthday of Joseph Stalin by the opening of his plaster bust in the central square of the city.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Joseph Stalin is regularly commemorated in Gori, his homeland. Thus, on March 5, communists marked the 64th anniversary of his death.

Now, supporters of the "Communist Party of Georgia" and Stalin's admirers have held a march with red flags and Stalin's portraits, after which his plaster bust was installed.

The speakers at the rally declared a "centuries-old fraternal friendship of Georgians, Abkhazians and Ossetians," and expressed hope for the return of Abkhazia and South Ossetia to Georgia, the "News-Georgia" reports.

Besides, the participants of the action, there were several dozens of them, again demanded to restore the monument to Stalin, demolished from the central square in 2010, the "Interfax" reports.

Let us note here that on November 21, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, offered to transfer the remains of Joseph Stalin, buried in Moscow, to Georgia.
