Ksenia Sobchak's supporters deny chances of opening her offices in Dagestan and Ingushetia

The opening of election officers in Dagestan and Ingushetia has not taken place and is not planned, the Moscow's office of Ksenia Sobchak has reported. No information about any plans to open offices in these republics has been received, said Anastasia Shevchenko, the head of the Sobchak's office in Rostov-on-Don.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 7, the "Makhachkala Izvestia" and the edition named "Ingushetia" announced, referring to Timur Valeev, the head of the regional network of Sobchak's offices, that it was decided to open Ksenia's offices in Dagestan and Ingushetia.

In November, Sobchak refused to look for coordinators of her election offices in Northern Caucasus because of the absence of persons willing to. Ksenia, a TV presenter, is positioning herself as a candidate "against all" and has not yet put forward her detailed political programme, but she agreed with Ramzan Kadyrov on the need to remove Lenin's body from the mausoleum.

Alexander Belonovsky, an employee of the Sobchak's Moscow office, has noted that in the south of Russia they have only one election office in Rostov-on-Don.

In the Caucasus, Sobchak's offices can only appear with authorities' permission, Magomed Mutsolgov, the head of the Ingush human rights organization "Mashr", believes.

According to his story, conservative views prevail among people of the Caucasus.

"The image of a glamorous lioness arouses no sympathy among the vast majority of our people. Ms Sobchak enjoys no authority in the Caucasus," he believes.
