Pavel Grib's health deteriorates, his father reports

The health state of Ukrainian citizen Pavel Grib, who is being kept under arrest at the SIZO (pre-trial prison) in the Krasnodar Territory on the charge of terrorism, is deteriorating. However, warders prohibit transferring necessary medicines to him, reported the father of the prisoner.

19-year-old citizen Pavel Grib disappeared in Belarus in late August, and on September 7 was found in Krasnodar SIZO (pre-trial prison) No. 5. The territorial FSB branch informed Ukrainian diplomats that Pavel Grib was kept there charged under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (terrorism). Pavel Grib is charged with the fact that he tried to persuade his friend to blow up an improvised explosive device (IED) during a graduation school meeting in Sochi.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 18, the Oktiabrsky District Court of Krasnodar left Pavel Grib in custody until January 4, despite his complaint about the deterioration of his health state and problems with obtaining medicine. The young man suffers from chronic decease, and he urgently needs surgery, stated Professor Vasily Pritula.

On November 20, Ukrainian consuls were allowed to visit Pavel Grib for 7 minutes, reported his father.

"He is not allowed to speak Ukrainian. And warders do not allow transfer medicine for him. Pavel does not remove his hood, and his body is covered with fissures. His health state get worse," wrote Igor Grib on his Facebook page on November 20.
