Armenia accuses Azerbaijan of soldier's death

Chaplin Markaryan, a regular soldier, was killed in Tavush during the shelling by Azerbaijan, reported the Armenian Ministry of Defence (MoD).

The incident occurred at 11:00 a.m. local time on October 10 when Armenian soldiers were conducting engineering works. The soldier was hospitalized with a wound to his breast and died at about 9:00 p.m., the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has been informed today by officials from the Armenian MoD.

On the fact of the soldier's death, a criminal case was instituted under Part 2, Paragraph 13 of Article 34-104 of the Criminal Code of Armenia (an attempted murder based on ethnic, racial or religious hatred), reported the Investigating Committee of Armenia.

Till present, no comments are available from officials of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence regarding the report about the death of the soldier in Armenia.
