LDPR demands reconsidering outcomes of North-Ossetian parliamentary elections

The Liberal-Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) demands to re-count votes at the elections in North Ossetia, and a relevant commission has been sent to the republic. This has been reported today by LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 10, in North Ossetia, the voting was held at the elections of members to the North-Ossetian Parliament and the elections to local self-administration bodies.

According to the Central Election Commission (CEC), the voter turnout reached 56.6%. A member of the association "People's Observer" told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent about prevented attempts of ballot throw-in at two polling stations. The community "Suspicious Observer" has published video records of violations committed at the elections to the North-Ossetian Parliament.

"We have succeeded in our request to send a commission to North Ossetia. And today, the commission members leave for the republic. We demand to re-count votes there. We will look at the reaction. And next week, we will draw a conclusion about the region," said Vladimir Zhirinovsky as quoted by the RIA "Novosti".

According to an LDPR member, the Party refuses to recognize the results of the elections to the Parliament of North Ossetia, since it suggests "numerous violations" committed during the voting.
