Ramzan Kadyrov excludes involvement of militants in MP Askhabov's murder

The murder of Mukhmad Askhabov, a member of the Chechen Parliament from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF), had no political motives. This was announced by the leader of Chechnya. Investigators have reported that no priority version of the murder has yet been formulated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 25, Mukhmad Askhabov, a deputy of the Chechen Parliament, was killed in the Achkhoi-Martan District. His car was shelled. Mukhmad Askhabov could be killed by militants, reported Djambulat Umarov, Minister for National Policy of the Chechen Government.

In his Instagram, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov has described the version of a terror act as groundless.

The Investigating Department for Chechnya of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) has reported that a Toyota Camry car with Mukhmad Askhabov was shelled from a submachine gun on a busy road between Achkhoi-Martan and Samashki. Attackers were not detained.

In 2000-2003, Mukhmad Askhabov worked at the administration of the Achkhoi-Martan District and until 2010, he occupied the post of the deputy district prefect. Then he served as the deputy chief of the administration for the Chechen leader and government and led the Ministry for Property and Land Relations.

Officials from the parliament administration called Mukhmad Askhabov an "honest and principled man."
