Brother of killed Gimry villager arrested for three days

Gazimagomed Kamilbegov, whose detention was treated by his relatives as unreasonable, is serving his arrest at a temporary detention facility (IVS) in the Untsukul District. According to the relatives of the man, his sister is still kept at the police station.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the relatives of Ramazan Kamilbegov, a resident of the Gimry village killed in 2015, complained about the unreasonable detention of his brother and sister. The relatives fear of the fabrication of criminal cases against Gazimagomed Kamilbegov and his 24-year-old sister.

Gazimagomed Kamilbegov was arrested for three days until August 9, reported advocate Eldar Temirkhanov.

According to the advocate, the administrative protocol against the man was drawn up "for him allegedly disputing with policemen while they were checking his ID."

A criminal case was instituted against Bagaudin Kamilbegov, a Gazimagomed Kamilbegov's brother, for storing a grenade, and on August 7, he was placed under house arrest. This was reported by his male relative.

Gazimagomed and Bagaudin Kamilbegov and Rabiyat Magomedova are relatives of Ramazan Kamilbegov, a suspected member of an illegal armed formation (IAF) killed in 2015. After he had been killed, law enforcers suggested three brothers of Ramazan Kamilbegov, including Gazimagomed, "to write a confession of guilt for aiding and abetting an IAF member," noted the man.

According to him, even after the closure of criminal cases, policemen regularly visited family members and demanded from them to surrender their weapons.
