On July 24-30, 2017, two persons suffered in conflict in Northern Caucasus

During the week of July 24-30, 2017, two persons were wounded in the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus. No killed were reported. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.

Both wounded persons are law enforcers in Chechnya.

Bombings and terror acts

On July 27, two explosions occurred on the outskirts of the village of Nozhai-Yurt, to where two law enforcers came for water. The explosive devices detonated when two law enforcers left a car. As a result of the explosion, fighters of the National Guard of Russia seconded from Omsk got minor injuries and refused hospitalization, since they got medical assistance at the place. According to other sources, the victims are police officers. Officials from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and the National Guard of Russia refuted the information. According to an official from the Department for Chechnya for the federal troop service of the National Guard of Russia, "none of fighters from the National Guard of Russia suffered during the past day." According to an official from the Chechen MIA, no law enforcers of the republic were also wounded recently. However, residents of the Nozhai-Yurt District stated that on July 27, on the outskirts of the village, "at least two explosions occurred."

On July 26, within the operation "Arms", houses of two residents of Ingushetia were searched. When searching the household of a 25-year-old local resident of the Surkhakhi village in the Nazran District, law enforcers found and seized a Kalashnikov submachine gun, a PM pistol and cartridges. During the searches in the house of a 40-year-old resident of Nazran, law enforcers discovered a hunting rifle, kept without proper documents.
