Judge Elena Khakhaleva treats scandal with her daughter's wedding party as ordered
Elena Khakhaleva, a judge from Krasnodar, treats as ordered the resonance caused by reports of multimillion-dollar expenses for her daughter's wedding party. The judge associates the scandal with her refusal to pronounce an unlawful judgment.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the public resonance was provoked by the reports that, according to Moscow advocate Sergey Zhorin, Elena Khakhaleva, the judge from the Krasnodar Territory Court, spent two million US dollars for her daughter's wedding party. Elena Khakhaleva herself has stated that her former husband took all the expenses for the daughter's wedding party. The Council of Judges for the KrasnodarTerritory has decided to request organizers of the party to submit the information on the costs and the method of payment.
According to Elena Khakhaleva, she treats an "arranged scandal" as pressure on the judge. She has clarified that at one time she did not allow pronouncing an illegal decision, and, according to her, the scandal is a revenge for that, the RIA "Novosti" reported on July 17.
"I know perfectly well who ordered the scandal," stated the judge as quoted by the RIA "Novosti".
