On July 3-9, no victims of armed conflict in Northern Caucasus were registered

During the week of July 3-9, 2017, no casualties or victims were recorded in the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.

Kidnappings

On July 4, Sharip Zaipullaev, born in 1980, a resident of the Dagestani city of Kovrov, was kidnapped. His mother said that he came with his family for the Uraza-Bayram holiday; he left the village of Ameterkmakhi for the neighbouring village of Tarli, but never returned back. According to eyewitnesses, his car was caught up by other cars without license number plates, which blocked the road. Masked people jumped out, took the man out of his car and drove off to some unknown place. The mother noted that her son had never been detained earlier and was not on the so-called "prophylactic registry". The woman turned to the Akusha ROVD (District Interior Division), but she was assured there that they had not detained Sharip Zaipullaev. On July 10, his relatives were informed that Sharip had been found dead in a blown up car. During identification, his relatives confirmed that the burnt down remains belonged to Sharip Zaipullaev.
