Stavropol authorities report paying 473 million roubles to flood victims

As reported by the press service of the Governor of the Stavropol Territory, 15,073 victims of the May high water received lump sum payments of 10,000 roubles each; 1222 victims received 50,000 roubles each; and 1411 victims – 100,000 roubles each.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 15, during Vladimir Putin's "direct line", a woman from the territory complained about the absence of material help to victims of flooding. The president stated that the federal centre had transferred money to the territory, and asked the General Prosecutor's Office to sort out the situation.

According to the Russian government, in May this year, after heavy rains, in the territory of 12 municipalities of the Stavropol Territory, a total of 4730 houses and households with a population of 14,931 people were flooded.

In general, the federal and territorial budgets have transferred 473 million roubles to flood victims, the website of the Governor has reported today.

"For today, we have prepared documents for the payment of other 300 million roubles. After the arrival of funds to the territory, they must be immediately transferred to victims," the website quoted the Governor Vladimir Vladimirov as saying.
