Ramazan Djalaldinov too scared to return to Chechnya

Ramazan Djalaldinov, known for criticizing Chechen officials, has said he is hiding, since he is afraid to repeat the fate of athlete Murad Amriev.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that during the "Direct Line with Vladimir Putin" held on June 15, the Russian President did not respond to an appeal of Ramazan Djalaldinov's relatives. They are now afraid of a negative reaction to their request to return home their breadwinner.

Ramazan Djalaldinov himself has said that he never believed that his family members would record a video appeal to Vladimir Putin. Ramazan Djalaldinov has noted that he cried when he saw the video message from his wife and daughters.

Meanwhile, Ramazan Djalaldinov believes that the Vladimir Putin's verbal guarantee is not enough to solve his problem, since there were other oral agreements that had not been fulfilled.

According to the man, he twice tried to meet Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov.

Ramazan Djalaldinov believes that a written legal justification is needed for his return home.

The man has also said that his passport seized from him by law enforcers in Chechnya had not yet been returned to him.
