Housing shareholders of "Park Evropeisky" manage to win support of Russia's "Minstroy"

The situation with the construction of the "Park Evropeisky" Residential Complex in Volgograd is under special supervision of the "Minstroy" (Ministry of Construction) of Russia, the shareholders of the complex said after their meeting with the Minister. According to their story, the Ministry asked them to wait for a decision on the developer's bankruptcy, after which options of helping them will be considered.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 10, shareholders held their action at the office of the "Kvartstroy" Company – the developer of the above complex. They demanded to change the developer and ensure the safety of the objects of the residential complex.

On May 5, the defrauded shareholders achieved opening a criminal case against the director general of the Volgograd branch of the "Kvartstroy" and the head of the "Orion" Company.

Alexander Nazarov, the leader of shareholders' initiative group, said, "The construction was stopped; and we are concerned about the property security."

The shareholder have also drawn developer's attention to the derelict status of the construction site and asked "to at least restore the fencing."

According to Alexei Aleinikov, the deputy head of the "Gosstroy" (State Construction Supervision Service) Inspection for the Volgograd Region, shareholders were given no guarantees by the Russia's "Minstroy".

"Now, the key problem is that there is no money to build the complex," he said.
