"Natsgvardia" fighters killed in Naurskaya awarded Orders of Courage

Six fighters of a military unit of the National Guard (Natsgvardia) of Russia killed on March 24 in an attack of a group of militants on the military unit in the Naur District of Chechnya were posthumously awarded the Orders of Courage. Three fighters wounded in the armed clash also got state awards. This was reported by the military commander's office of Chechnya.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the responsibility for the attack was claimed by the terrorist organization "Islamic State" (IS) banned in Russia. As a result of the attack, six fighters were killed, and three others were wounded. Six of the attackers were also killed.

On March 31, law enforcers detained Ibragim Djamalov, a resident of the village of Naurskaya, suspected of involvement in the attack. The law enforcers believe that the attack was organized by Ali Bakaev, another local resident, who could leave for Egypt two days before the attack.

The Orders of Courage were awarded to Sergeant Major Anatoly Ermolaev, Sergeant Amin Aliev, Junior Sergeants Ildus Kuchukbaev and Dmitry Gurat, Corporal Zaurbek Akbiev, and soldier Arsen Ramazanov. All of them were contract servicemen, reports an official from the military commander's office of Chechnya.

Besides, three fighters wounded in the shootout with the militants were also awarded.

"Junior Sergeant Volkonidov was awarded the Orders of Courage, and Junior Sergeant Mukhtarov and Corporal Ibragimov got medals 'For Courage'," reported the officer of the military commander's office of Chechnya.
