In Rostov-on-Don, Arthur Panov loses consciousness at trial

In Rostov-on-Don, at the court hearing in the case of plotting of a terror act, the health state of Arthur Panov, a citizen of Ukraine, has deteriorated sharply.

Arthur Panov, a 19-year-old resident of the town of Krasnodon of the Lugansk Region of Ukraine, is accused of plotting a terror act.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at the court hearing held on May 3, Arthur Panov declared the beginning of indefinite dry hunger strike with the demand to extradite him to Ukraine within two weeks.

This evening, Ukrainian citizen Arthur Panov has lost consciousness in the course of the regular hearing of the North-Caucasian Military Court, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports from the courtroom. The judge decided to call an ambulance.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has been told by Sergey Moskovkin, an advocate of Arthur Panov, that "before the court hearing, his client has informed him that he was continuing his hunger strike."

Meanwhile, a member of the Public Monitoring Commission (PMC) for the Rostov Region has informed the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that according to the Department for the Rostov Region of the Federal Penitentiary Service (known as FSIN) and the administration of the SIZO (pre-trial prison), "Arthur Panov did not voiced any statements about hunger strike." Officials of the FSIN Department claim that Arthur Panov experiences no health problems and accepts food," said the members of the PMC for the Rostov Region.
