Court upholds verdicts to two participants of anti-corruption action in Sochi

The Krasnodar Territorial Court has refused to satisfy the appeal lodged by Konstantin Gudimov and Suren Edigarov, who have served their administrative arrest after the action in Sochi on April 16.

The "Caucasian Knot" reported that on April 16 ten activists went to an anti-corruption action in the "Hyde Park" in the town of Khosta, where eight of them were detained.

Today, the Territorial Judge has upheld the judgments of his colleagues about the arrest of Konstantin Gudimov and Suren Edigarov.

According to Mr Gudimov, he told the judge that the law does not prescribe to notify the Mayoralty about a rally, if it is held in a specially allocated place.

Mr Edigarov has also stated his innocence.

Now, the activists are drafting an appeal to the Court of Cassation.

Earlier, on March 26, Sochi activists supported the All-Russian action, organized after the Anti-Corruption Fund of Alexei Navalny released the investigation "He is not Dimon for You". The Mayoralty failed to sanction that action too; and its participants were detained.
